A regional starting point
The Census Business Trends and Outlook Survey provides reported AI-use estimates for its target employer-business population. A state estimate gives regional context; it does not tell us whether a particular ZIP, member, or nonprofit uses AI.
Separate use from preparation
Reported AI use, expected use, workforce training, and business outcomes answer different questions. Expected use is an intention. A training response does not prove a productivity gain. Keep those distinctions when planning a program.
Connect evidence with a practical question
Ask participating organizations which task they want to improve, how results will be reviewed, and what baseline will be recorded. The AI Chamber readiness quiz and 30-day action plan provide a practical place to start.
Publish what has actually been measured
The Texas explorer shows a dated source snapshot with standard errors. It does not calculate a ZIP-level AI rate or an AWORD composite score. A workshop can produce useful case studies without creating a regional ranking.
